1970s

After getting his start as an electrician in Michigan in the 1970s, Gary Hoover started out his fledgling business small, as he and his Hoover team provided electric services to commercial properties.

1980s

In 1980, Hoover founded what has proven to be one of the most trusted names in the electrical industry: Hoover Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Cooling.

And Beyond

After great success in the electrical industry, Hoover realized the demand for full-service contractors. Michigan’s changing economic environment meant Hoover had to make a choice. He decided to diversify his business, adding plumbing repair services and heating and cooling services to the roster of offerings for Southeast Michigan residential clients.

We discovered a large sink hole where our sewer line goes into to main on Wednesday. I called Hoover and within an hour they had a Tech out to my house. The problem was accessed and they gave us solutions. This was Wednesday, Friday the start of the holiday weekend, we had a crew at my house they fixed the problem. Drains are working better than ever. Everyone that came to the house was very professional and courteous. Kept us informed through out the process.
