1970s
After getting his start as an electrician in Michigan in the 1970s, Gary Hoover started out his fledgling business small, as he and his Hoover team provided electric services to commercial properties.
1980s
In 1980, Hoover founded what has proven to be one of the most trusted names in the electrical industry: Hoover Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Cooling.
And Beyond
After great success in the electrical industry, Hoover realized the demand for full-service contractors. Michigan’s changing economic environment meant Hoover had to make a choice. He decided to diversify his business, adding plumbing repair services and heating and cooling services to the roster of offerings for Southeast Michigan residential clients.

Dee and Evan did a great job replacing my old furnace and air conditioner! They worked diligently all day long and were very considerate, polite, and helpful in explaining the questions I had. Gage was awesome friendly he was knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. We were nervous it was going to be a super expensive job. He identify the problem, almost immediately fixed the plug that was broken and add a GFI in the bathroom that was needed. He wasn’t here but an hour in half an arrived promptly. At the end he went over his safety inspection of the house. We talked for a few about how our daughter was thinking about being an electrician. He answered questions about his job and said she should definitely do it. I would say Gage not only came to provide a service to us, but also brought an awesome experience.
